Movie Reviews

Next to books, my favorite (entertainment) past time is to watch movies. As I watch at least one movie, every week, I will try to share my reviews of these movies here.

Bear in mind that I have no type of formal training in the evaluation of movie's or movie making in general, so do not look here for some comment on the technical expertise of a particular production. In fact, oftentimes when a movie is hailed by all the critics as a masterpiece, I may not even comprehend the movie.

So, why would anyone want to read my movie reviews?

Quite simply, my opinion on movies seems to closely correspond to that of most people committed to seeking truth. Typically, when I love a movie, most everyone I knows shares some enthusiasm for the film.

So, how do I rate the films?

Let me say this:

My entire life is dedicated to my quest for truth and realization of my oneness with the Universe and all of creation.

I love movies which ask the big questions, regardless of whether I agree with the conclusions or not.

Time seems to me to be one of the most valuable commodities I have on this physical plane. As such, I rate the movies I watch on a scale that measures what I received in exchange for the time I invested.

That said, here is the rating system I will be using:

4 Hourglasses - Absolute must see. In fact I am so enthused about it that I will most likely own a copy so that I may invest more time watching it again. Either this movie left me feeling excited about the direction of the movie industry or I felt wonderful in some other way when I finished watching.

3 Hourglasses - I appreciate this movie. It stimulated me, perhaps to look at things in a different way or maybe it ask the big questions and I was not in complete alignment with the conclusions. In either case, by giving this 3 Hourglasses I believe this is a movie worth seeing.

2 Hourglasses - This movie had a bright spot or two. Was it worth the investment of time? Read the comments and make your own decision. By rating it a 2 indicates I would probably not see it again, but I am not saying the movie was a complete waste of time.

1 Hourglass - I am disappointed that I wasted my time here. My comments will reflect why I feel this way. Hopefully, I will not have a lot of these ratings. Typically, I only fall into a movie like this once or twice a year.

The movies will be given their own page, with just a link here.

I will put the movies in alphabetical order for ease of finding the review.

Enough said. On with the show.
