Why Ask Why?
A book that I love and have given to many friends is “Love Without End: Jesus Speaks” by Glenda Green.
The book was so wonderful to me; I bought many copies and gave dozens away.
Not everyone I gifted with the book shared my enthusiasm for it. Most did, but some either never started reading or read a while and lost interest.
Because I loved the book and the message therein, so much, I would check back in, from time to time with those who had not voiced their enjoyment of the story.
I have to admit I experienced a slight disappointment with those who never opened the book. I actually wondered why I had felt compelled to give this book to someone with no interest in reading it.
Well, who am I to question Spirit?
One of the friends I gifted with this book, over three years ago, told me this story yesterday:
He reported that his wife had told him of a dream that she had in which Jesus spoke to her. She described the dream and said it was so odd because Jesus was standing in a green field, holding a lamb as he spoke.
My friend thought it was an interesting dream but did not think a whole lot more about it.
A couple of days later the wife again reported the dream, but this time she added that Jesus told her to “Read the Book.” She was dumbfounded because she had no idea which book he meant.
The light came on for my friend and he located the book for his wife.
There is a picture entitled, “The Lion and The Lamb” on the cover of the book I had given him. Lo and behold, it was the exact same picture she had seen in her dream.
My friend insists that she knew nothing of this book prior to receiving it from him.
I am humbled by a repeat of my lesson that mine is not to know why, only to say “yes” and do that which I am led to do.
His wife is devouring the book right now. It is going to be interesting to see what revelations it holds for her.
