Visualize Peace

I used to have a bumper sticker which said “Visualize Peace”. I always thought of that proclamation as meaning “visualize world peace”.

I was proud of that bumper sticker because I knew the power of visualization. I had successfully used visualization techniques to manifest desired things and felt confident that if enough people held the thought of peace in their minds, it could actually become a possibility.

Today, I am thinking that the most constructive use of peace visualization would be to imagine myself totally at peace. From the perspective I have now, I do not think that lasting world peace is possible until I have peace within myself.

So, I propose using my imagination to its greatest potential and visualizing myself completely “at peace”.

The fullness of the “at peace” experience is beyond description, and for the person who has never experienced the grace found in the peace-filled state, even the wildest imagining falls short; but it is still worth pursuing. Even if the greatest degree of peace, I am capable of imagining, falls dreadfully short of the actual occurrence, it still communicates to my subconscious that this is the experience I desire. It opens the doors of possibility.

All reality begins in the mind. It begins as an idea.

Today I will hold my idea of peace. I will feel, in my mind and body, the joy available to the soul, unencumbered by the pressures of our so-called reality.

As I obtain, that which I imagine, I will be open to imagining even more, greater degrees of peacefulness. I will progress from dream to experience; each dream greater; each experience more fulfilling.

I will visualize Inner-Peace today, knowing the outer will manifest as desired, when the inner is committed to this quest.
