Perseverance

It would be a great miracle, if I or someone else could wave a magic wand and free each of us up to experience peace in all of our affairs. It is not possible, but even if it were, it would possibly be a disservice.

The path to peace is one of perseverance. That, in itself, is a lesson we must learn.

As with everything we set our sights on, we want peace now!

The truth is, it has taken us a whole lifetime, maybe several lifetimes, to accumulate the specific programming we use to define our world. Making a choice to see peace instead of being the autonomic robots, we have created, requires a methodical, step by step, approach.

It is really like a game. As such, it can be great fun or it can be tedious. It depends on how I play. It depends on the mindset I have for the process.

I choose to have fun, because I can make that choice.

This is not some painful task a cruel universe has placed on my shoulders. This is not a heavy burden heaped upon my head by my parents, my teachers, or my religion.

This journey is a blessing. It was a choice I made before I ever came here.

I enjoy the opportunity; my minute to minute existence offers me to look at myself, to learn about myself, and to shape my future by my choices today. No greater opportunity exists than for me to choose peace.

Choosing peace is the decision. Persevering on the path is my action. Finding joy in the journey is my reward.
