It's Everywhere, It's Everywhere

I am always astounded at how amazing the universe is; at least when I myself am in the flow and present enough to notice.

I was writing a reflection, asking the question, “Is anything more important than the pursuit of Peace?”, when I received a phone call from a woman who wanted me to come and purchase a bunch of books left over from an estate sale.

I stopped writing, and went to look at the books I did not find much that interested me, but I agreed to haul the books off, giving her a small amount for the whole lot.

When I got home, I would not allow myself to play with the books until I finished the writing in progress. (I will write a reflection later this week on my affinity for books ;-).

Once I finished the project at hand, I went to the car and extracted one small box of books.

The very first book out of the box was a compilation of writings entitled “Getting The Most Out Of Life”, published by Readers Digest in 1955. I opened the book to nearly the back cover and read the following. “..after a quarter of a century of personal experience and professional observation, I have come to understand that peace of mind is the true goal of the considered life. “by Dr. Joshua Loth Liebman from his book “Peace Of Mind”.

I wander through my days (daze) awe-struck at the ways the universe teaches me when I am open to learn.

Affirmations, of the truth I have learned, are everywhere around me. Sometimes I hear sound bites from the oddest sources. Sometimes, I pick up a magazine, dedicated to a superficial, physical existence, and a quote, which seems completely out of context for the media, will touch my heart.

The bottom line is the Truth seeker does not have to seek. I guess I will have to change the name. The Truth observer may be more accurate. Reminders, pointers, wisdom, they are all everywhere around us, waiting patiently for us to notice.

Today I open my heart to the incredible wisdom, which lies in wait, everywhere around me.
