Welcome to the inaugural issue of ET’s Reflections

As many of you know, I published a newsletter called ET’s reflections for just under a year back in 2003. I have added some of those old writings to an archive file on the Love Expressing website. As I find more of those earlier reflections, I will continue to add them to this page, so check back frequently, if you like what you read.

This time, with the newsletter, I really want to have fun. I stopped publishing the last newsletter, because I got so caught up in the patriotic call for war in Iraq , that I became frustrated. As the bombs began falling in Baghdad , my ability to stay in peace also fell. I found myself engaging in dialogues where I was as angry as the person attacking me. I chose to withdraw from my public writing.

Since that time I have had many people comment that they would like me to start writing again. Writing is really a passion of mine, so I am pleased to finally be returning to this venue in an effort to express my thoughts. As with my last effort at reflections, I never know what I will send until it is on its way.

In the past many said to me, “How can you write so much every day. I would run out of ideas.” Ideas have never been my problem. Time, discipline, and the ability to choose between all the possible ideas, are my demons. I always have more ideas than I have time to pursue. Such is the lot of the Seven.

I will send my first actual reflection, tomorrow, September 8th.

Today, I just want to thank you for subscribing.

I noticed that some of you are subscribed to both the daily reflection and the weekly reflection. It is my intention to reprint one or two of the best reflections, from the daily postings, on the weekly reflection. So, be advised, if you are subscribed to both, that the weekly will be a repeat.

I encourage you to share your thoughts, ideas, criticisms, and any other comments with me as we move forward. It is my hope that this newsletter is as fun for you as it is for me.

I appreciate you!
